Rutzky responds to criticism with an “apology”?

Superintendent Jeff Rutzky emailed the WO education staff on the 4-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook massacre using the contract negotiations as a comparison of how WO teachers and staff don’t have it “as bad”.

After community outrage, the Superintendent responded with what looks like an attempt at an apology. However, the community is not satisfied- noting that Rutzky is not taking ownership of what he said but, instead, saying that it was misinterpreted. What do you think? See his email below:
